About SCORE Chapter 574

The Northern Illinois chapter of SCORE is an active chapter that strives to play a strong role in the local small business community.  The chapter was founded with a spirit of  aggressive dedication to service, and its strong leadership team has earned the chapter well-deserved recognition in recent years.

The Executive Committee forms the decision making body of the chapter.  Committee meetings are held the first Tuesday of each month at the EIGERLab.  Current committee members include: Duncan Brown, Bob Christianson, Ted Cowen, Jim Dehler, Dolores Ford, Tom Mann, Terese McKnight, Ronn Mooney, Vern Wanner, and Marion Wilke.

Regular chapter meetings are held monthly at the EIGERLab on the second Tuesday of each month.  In addition to normal business details, the chapter meeting often includes a guest speaker on a topic consistent with the chapter's annual goals and objectives.

The chapter works co-operatively with Rock Valley College (RVC), the RVC Small Business Development, local chambers of commerce, and local sponsors to promote small business education and workshops.

Who Is SCORE?

SCORE is a national organization of volunteers whose mission is to provide expert mentoring to America's small businesses. 

Founded in 1964, SCORE is now entering in its 45th year of existence.  SCORE has served almost 9 million entreprenuers with expert business advice through approximately 370 local chapters in all 50 states.



Who Is Chapter 574?

 We are local volunteer group that represent SCORE in the northern Illinois area.  Geographically, we provide SCORE services to the Illinois counties of Boone, Ogle, Stephenson, Carroll, JoDavies, and Winnebago plus the Wisconsin county of Rock.
